Dalal is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, born and raised in Birmingham. Dalal received a master’s degree in human environmental sciences with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Alabama.

Dalal has always enjoyed helping people and when she began studying Marriage and Family Therapy, her values aligned with the relational perspective, and she pursued this as her career. She has experience working in the elementary school, the collegiate, and the clinical inpatient and outpatient settings where she worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including adult individuals, teenagers, couples, and families.

Dalal works with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, relationship concerns, family conflict, and parenting. She feels passionate about helping clients with eating disorders, body image, and self-esteem concerns. She believes it is important to address how culture, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and other factors influence our lives and therefore she provides a safe environment to foster exploration of identity. Through a person-centered therapy approach, Dalal recognizes that clients are the experts of their own lives. She utilizes a collaborative style that is led by both curiosity and compassion to empower clients to create the life they want to live.

She wears many hats besides therapist including wife, mother, sister, daughter, activist, and dance teacher. On the weekends, Dalal enjoys going outside, cooking Arabic food, and a good strong cup of coffee.
