Caroline is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the Huntsville/Madison area and originating from Montgomery, Alabama. Completing both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Auburn University, Caroline was trained in the clinical approaches of Family Systems Theory and Attachment Theory.
Caroline considers herself a lifelong student and treats the therapy room as a place to learn from her clients about their lived experiences through her use of collaboration, curiosity, and warmth. Due to her belief that therapy should be a healing experience above all else, Caroline seeks to help her clients understand themselves and those around them through a more compassionate lens. It is her deepest hope that her clients feel lighter, more insightful, more equipped, and more confident in their daily lives.
Caroline primarily utilizes the following modalities for delivering care:
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

• Structural Family Therapy
• Bowenian Family Therapy
• Experiential Therapy
• Solutions-Focused Family Therapy
• PREPARE/ENRICH premarital counseling

Caroline’s primary clinical areas include trauma recovery and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adjustment issues, relationship issues, stepfamilies, and issues of parenthood and family life transitions. Caroline currently only works with individuals ages 16 years and older and is available via telehealth and in-office.
As a mother, the issues of pregnancy and postpartum life are an area of special clinical interest to Caroline, and she is currently undergoing additional training through Postpartum Support International in their Perinatal Mental Health Specialty program in order to provide care for pregnant individuals and their support systems.
Though Caroline has been in private practice for the past 6 years working primarily with individuals, couples, and families, she has extensive experience in various settings with clients of diverse demographics and presenting concerns. From working as the only child-based therapist in a rural community-based mental health agency in Tallapoosa County, to working in Huntsville and Arab City Schools and a local university, Caroline has honed her skills through approaching her craft with flexibility and a beginner’s mindset.
