She strives to create a safe environment for her clients through her compassionate, non-judging presence. Sarah Beth believes that weas humans need both secure connection with others and awareness within ourselves for healing to occur. It is her aim to establish a foundation of trust between therapist and client that is crucial for growth and transformation in the therapeutic process.
While earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Alabama, Sarah Beth began her pursuit of education in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is certified to provide Teletherapy, allowing her to serve clients located throughout the state.
Sarah Beth welcomes individuals, couples, and families at any age and stage of life. Guided by Family Systems Theory, Sarah Beth works from an attachment-based trauma-informed perspective. Common client concerns she attends to include anxiety, loss and grief, relationship (couple, family, & friend) issues, trauma, life transitions, depression, premarital counseling, coping with stress, divorce recovery, self-esteem/self-worth, and perfectionism.
Sarah Beth guides couples and families as they establish new patterns of interaction and heal unresolved injuries through the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She incorporates Experiential Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) techniques to help clients develop awareness, heal from traumas, and process their grief.
